McDonalds Thor Toys 2022 are the current happy meal toys promotion at McDonalds in the USA, Mexico Latin America and South America. There are 10 Marvel Studios Thor Love and Thunder toys to collect, one of which will be in your happy meal right now. The release of Thor McDonalds toys coincides with the new Marvel Studios Thor Love and Thunder movie which began screening in theaters from July 8, 2022.

Does McDonalds Have Thor Happy Meal Toys?

McDonald's Thor happy meal toys promotion runs between July and August 2022. The 10 Thor promotional toys are available in North America (excluding Canada), the Carribean, Latin America and South America. Along with the Thor McDonalds toys there is a themed Marvel Studio Thor: Love and Thunder happy meal box to collect although this was not shown in the commercial (see below) so I am uncertain how widely available the box is. The apple slices and milk packaging also come with a Thor theme.

How Many Thor McDonald's Toys Are There?

There are 10 plastic Thor McDonald's toys in the 2022 happy meal toy promotion, each with a flat base shaped like a boat making it good for display purposes. what's even better is that the toys can be clicked together to form a chain. The line up of Thor toys from McDonalds is: Thor, Korg, Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher, Valkyrie, Golden Armor Thor, Groot, Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Mantis and the Mighty Thor.

The Thor figures are nicely styled and colorful but they have little articulation. There is a lack of imagination in the gimmicks too as most figures just wield a weapon in their right hand which moves up and down. The stand out toy from the collection is undoubtedly Korg as at least his weapon rotates 180 degrees.

The 10 McDonald's Thor toys 2022 all stand on a fixed brown base apart from Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher which has a yellow base. These Thor toys not only look similar to the McDonalds Marvel Studio's Eternals toys 2021, they also have the same ability to be joined together. Another cool aspect is that they can, like the Eternals, unlock more features like information about the characters when scanned into the McDonalds app.

Included in the Thor happy meal toys set are:

1. #1 Thor - Blonde hair and beard. Bright blue costume. Rotates from the waist.


2. #2 Groot - Brown figure with green hair. Right arm moves up and down on push of lever on the back of toy.


3. #3 Star-Lord - Grey head and arms. Brown uniform. Holds guns in both hands which move up and down in a firing action when activated by push of button on his back.


4. #4 The Mighty Thor (aka La poderosa Thor) - Female warrior with yellow hair and black uniform. Grey helmet, boots and arm protectors. Holds hammer in her right hand. Pull lever at back of her head to activate up and down hammer action.


5. #5 Golden Armor Thor (aka Thor con armadura dorada) - Yellow helmet, arms and gloves. Blue uniform with yellow belt and blue boots. Red cape. Holds an axe in right which moves up and down on press of rear lever.


6. #6 Rocket Raccoon - Brown raccoon wearing orange outfit. Carries hammer in his right hand which moves up and down when button on the back of his head is pushed.


7. #7 Korg - Grey head and arms. Brown pants. Holds a golden three-pronged spear which can rotate 180 degrees on press of button at the back.


8. #8 Valkyrie - She has long black hair. Wears a black uniform and a blue cape. Carries a blue metallic sword in her right hand. Up and down sword action when button on back of her head pushed.


9. #9 Mantis She has long green hair. Her outfit is green and her boots are dark green. Both arms move up and down when button on the back of her head is pushed.


10. #10 Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher - Translucent yellow base. Bobble-heads. Two-headed goats figure. One white and one brown.

McDonalds Disney 50th Toys Anniversary Happy Meals for 2022

McDonalds Disney 50th toys were re-released in happy meals in the US in May 2022 after the original 2020 McDonalds Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway promotional toys were pulled 18 months ago. The latest set has 8 McDonalds 50th anniversary Disney toys compared to the first set issue that had 10 toys. The happy meal toys feature Mickey Mouse and Friends at WDW Florida and is another collaboration between McDonalds and Disney to commemorate the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary.

The McDonalds Disney 50th toys for 2022 feature Mickey Mouse and friends on various rides and attractions available at Walt Disney World, Florida. These are plastic toys and look great on display especially when grouped with other previous McDonald's Disney toys featuring Mickey Mouse.

This fun set comprises 8 of the original 10 McDonalds WDW Anniversary Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway toys 2020. The two toys that have been dropped from the original line-up are:

#6: Mickey Mouse at the Hollywood Tower Hotel
#7: Minnie Mouse at the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction

Make sure you check your McDonald's toys in this set as some have special gold accents that make them super special and collectible. For example with the Goofy toy there is the regular version and the gold hat version so keep an eye out for these.

On the underside of the toy you will see that it is stamped with the attraction name eg "Runaway Railway" or "Mad Tea Party" etc. Each of the toys has a hook at the rear to join it together with others from the set. When connected up the toys form a train that can be pushed along.

The full set of McDonalds Disney 50th toys were released in the following order in 2022:

  Blue and red train (bluish-green hat, some may be gold)


• 2. Mickey at the Mission Space Attraction
  Mickey is seated in a gray rocket ship.


• 3. Minnie Mouse at the Dinosaur Attraction
  Drives a yellow car with a blue dino in the back.


• 4. Pluto at the Jungle Cruise Attraction
  Pluto in a boat that has a detachable hippopotamus on a blue base underneath which moves up and down when pushed along.


• 5. Goofy at the Expedition Everest Attraction
  Goofy has a yeti looking monster coming out of the mountain seated behind him.


• 8. Donald Duck at the Mad Tea Party
  Pink and purple tea cup that goes around and around. Donald is seated inside and his eyes are from the spinning.


• 9. Daisy Duck at Soarin' Around The World Attraction
  Daisy sits in a blue carriage seat attached to a globe which spins around.


• 10. Mickey Mouse and Minnie's Runaway Railway
  Mickey is driving a red car and Minnie is in the passenger seat beside him. They bob up and down slightly when rolled along.

McDonalds Disney World Happy Meal Box and Packaging 2022

The front of the McDonald's Disney World Anniversary happy meal box features a large picture of Mickey and Minnie in the now iconic red car with the rest of the characters in the line-up following along in a train layout. The WDW 50th Anniversary logo features prominently at the centre of the top panel. On one side panel is the slogan for the promotion "Enjoy the magic of sharing" while the other side panel has the text "celebrate with delicious apple slices."

Toys in the set come in clear plastic bags that retain the original 2020 numbering. Bags have red highlighting.

Disney World McDonalds Activity Sheets

The Activity Sheets with this promotion include a Mickey and Minnie maze and a "Who said what" activity. These can be downloaded free from the happy meal website during the promotion.

McDonalds 50th Anniversary Disney Toys (Happy Meals Around the World)

To my knowledge these McDonalds toys for 2022 were not re-released elsewhere apart from the US. The original McDonald's Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway toys 2020 were also available in Latin American countries such as Argentina, Brazil and Peru.


The McDonalds Disney 50th toys​ fell between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Buzz Lightyear in 2022. If you missed out on any of these collections don't despair you can still pick them up on eBay in most cases. I am yet to see the rare gold accent toys but who knows what you might find if you go looking?

McDonalds Stitch Toys 2022 were the free happy meal toys at McDonalds in the USA in February and March. The Stitch McDonalds toys were also promoted in happy meals (cajita feliz) in Mexico, Latin America and South America.

Who is Stitch?

Just to fill you in a little bit, Stitch (aka Experiment 626) is a blue genetically engineered alien who Lilo adopts as her dog. Stitch has super human strength, speed and agility. Stitch isn't well liked on account of all the mischief but Lilo sees the good in him. Together they have adventures in exotic Hawaii.

Why Did McDonalds Have Stitch Toys?

The McDonalds Stitch promotion which began on February 5, 2022 was part of yet another collaboration with Disney, this time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the animated film Lilo and Stitch. The remake of the now classic movie is due for release soon on Disney Plus. If you haven't guessed already Disney marketing of Stitch mercandise is big business and will only get bigger once the new Stitch movie is released.

What are McDonald's Stitch Toys Made Of?

With the phasing out of plastic toys in the US in favor of more sustainable options the McDonalds Stitch 2022 toys are plush. They are mini soft toys made from polyester and acrylic fibers and can be hung anywhere with the attached loop. The traditional tush tag bearing the toy name and year is actually on his back on these toys. This can be cut off for safety and hygiene reasons. The Stitch toys are suitable for kids 3+.

What Stitch Toys Did They Have at McDonalds and How Many?

The McDonalds Stitch collection includes 8 plush Stitch happy meal toys all featuring the beloved blue monster Stitch. Each Stitch happy meal toy is a different version of Stitch doing a particular activity like surfing or playing the ukelele. An alternative name for the promotion could easily have been the Many Lives of Stitch as it is kind of reminiscent of the Many Lives of Snoopy series from years ago.

The stand out feature of these Stitch toys is Stitch's ears. They are large and usually point upwards although not in every toy. He is kind of cute and full of mischief { "... and fluffy!"). No wonder he is so popular!

Which Stitch Toys Did They Have at McDonalds?

During the McDonalds Stitch promotion which ran from (February 5 to March 8, 2022 Stitch happy meal toys were given out in sequence. The full set includes the following Stitch toys:

• 1. Surfer Stitch - Wears floral swimsuit bottoms. Rides a surfboard. Smiling face.


• 2. Experiment 626 Stitch - Orange outfit. Scary angry face.


• 3. Cool Stitch - Wearing red sunglasses and a yellow Hawaiian shirt


• 4. Sippin' Stitch - Stitch is enjoying a long cool drink from a coconut and relaxing. He has a lei around his neck. The look on his face is pure pleasure - it's priceless.


• 5. Ukelele Stitch - Stitch is playing the ukelele with a big smile on his face. Ears pointing downward.


• 6. Hula Stitch - Wearing a green grass skirt and garland around his head. Arms are arranged in a hula pose.


• 7. Sitting Stitch - Stitch is sitting down

While USA and Mexico got Stitch toys in 2022, Canada did not get the Stitch happy meal toy promotion.

The McDonalds Stitch toys were promoted as las travesuras de los juguetes de #Stitch de Disney throughout Latin America and South America in happy meals (#cajita feliz de Stitch). Most locations had the toys somewhere between March and May depending on country. Some of the countries known to have had the McDonalds Stitch happy meal toys are:

McDonald's Encanto Toys 2021 in Happy Meals

McDonald's Encanto Toys 2021 were free in happy meals at McDonalds in the USA from November 23, 2021. Outside of the US the Encanto toys were promoted in Mexico, Latin America and South America. There are 8 Encanto happy meal toys to collect altogether, each inspired by a character from the hit Disney Encanto movie.

The McDonald's Encanto happy meal toys promotion features eight characters from the Madrigal family, each of whom has a magical gift. All the McDonalds Encanto toys are made from hard plastic and stand several inches high. Each Encanto toy has a special gimmick (discussed in more detail below) and some come with additional accessories.

The themed Encanto happy meal box depicts the magical Madrigal's house in Colombia (casa de familiia Madrigal) on the front of the box. On one side of the box is a kind of cheeky picture of Mirabel and above her a photo of the 8 toys in the set.

1. #1 Antonio - leaning against a tree. Cup and ball game where he must catch the tapir. In the movie he has a special ability to communicate with animals.


2. #2 Mirabel - holds an accordian. Apply stickers to her teal dress. Comes with a butterfly maze ball bearing game which can be attached to her back.


3. #3 Luisa - white blouse, purple skirt. Head rotates 360 degrees. Comes with 4 donkeys to balance and stack as per her gift of super-human strength.


4. #4 Bruno - wears a green poncho. Push lever on his back to activate spinning coffee decision maker yes or no in keeping with his special power in the movie which is to be able to see the future.


5. #5 Pepa - orange dress and white base. Spinning top toy that can skittle the 3 cardboard animal targets that come in the pack.


6. #6 Camilo - yellow cape. Bingo game. Comes with pop out pre-cut carboard counter discs and 2 cards of family portraits on a 3x3 matrix. To play the game spin the wheel. 3 in a row wins.


7. #7 Chispi - the Capybara. Push and roll toy that can knock over the 3 plastic birds (toucans) that are also in the bag.


8. #8 Isabela - light purple dress. Comes with pink base launcher, teal firing missile. Fold precut card flowers provided to use as targets.

McDonalds Mexico had Encanto toys (Encanto juguetes) in happy meals (#CajitaFeliz) during December 2021 and also had the same 8 toys.

An identical 8 Encanto toys from McDonalds were also available in Latin American countries such as Costa Rica (December) and Guatemala (December 2021).

South American McDonald's restaurants had the toys on promotion too including Colombia (November-December) and Uruguay (December-January 2022).

The Encanto toys promotion ran from 2 December in Brazil with the same 8 toys (brinquedos) being offered in happy meals (McLanche Feliz).


If you missed these McDonalds Encanto toys first time around during the limited promotion period you can still pick them up on marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.

McDonald's Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Happy Meal Toys 2021 USA Promotion

McDonalds Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary happy meal toys promotion will begin on September 14, 2021 to commemorate the Walt Disney World 50th birthday. The Walt Disney toy collection is a limited promotion featuring some of the all time most loved Disney characters and is slated to end on October 25, 2021 so make sure you get these toys into your McDonalds happy meal toy collection while you can.

This set of 50th Anniversary McDonalds toys in your happy meal features character toys from many older and modern Disney classic movies alike including: Alice in Wonderland, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Dumbo, Aladdin, Pinocchio, Bambi, The Lion King, Star Wars, Frozen, Lady and the Tramp, Winnie the Pooh, Guardians of the Galaxy, Toy Story, Moana, The Incredibles, Coco, Cinderella, Stitch, Soul, Tinkerbell. Favorite characters created by Walt Disney are also represented with the Celebration series: Celebration Mickey Mouse, Celebration Minnie Mouse, Celebration Chip, Celebration Dale, Celebration Daisy Duck, Celebration Goofy, Celebration Donald Duck and Celebration Pluto.

While the Walt Disney World happy meal toys appear almost reminiscent of snowglobes they are in fact figures on a colored base with a backdrop and are based on the statues that will be put out in the park especially for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration. Look more closely and it is not too hard to see that this set resembles the McDonalds Disneyland 50th happy meal toys of 2005 with different backgrounds thrown in of course.

The backgrounds are worth a mention on their own as they change as the toy is moved. On the Celebration Mickey Mouse for instance Fantasyland appears by night when the background is upright while on an angle it changes to blue sky behind Fantasyland. This is an added bonus and a nice feature.

On social media there are already lots of threads about the omission of certain happy meal toys from the line-up of Disney 50th toys. Collectors are already lamenting that 101 Dalmatians are missing as are any toys from the Cars franchise. Despite the exclusion of some Disney character toys that didn't make the cut for whatever reason the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary toy promotion is still an awesome set to have in your collection.
