McDonald's Pokemon Cards 2022 (USA / UK and Ireland)

McDonald's Pokemon Cards 2022 are a happy meal toy giveaway at McDonalds restaurants in the USA, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Beginning August 3, 2022 in Great Britain and August 16 in the US a four card pack of Nintendo Pokemon trading cards (Match Battle) will come in every happy meal sold.

What Pokémon Cards are in McDonald's Happy Meal 2022?

The Pokémon cards in McDonald's Happy Meal 2022 are a set of 15 Match Battle cards that come in sealed booster packs of four cards, one per happy meal. There are three regular cards and one of six holographic cards in each pack.

The cards included are: Ledyba, Rowlet, Gossifleur, Growlithe, Victini, Lapras, Chinchou, Flaaffy, Tynamo, Cutiefly, Bewear, Pangoro, Drampa, Smeargle.

McDonald's Pokemon Cards 2022 - Details

Each McDonald's Pokemon 2022 happy meal toy includes a pack of trading cards, a plastic spinner and a double-sided coin.

The spinner and coin are pieces used in the Match Battle game. The object is to win three prize points. The coin is flipped to decide whether the higher or lower number on the player's card wins (gold = high and red = low). The spinner is used to choose a category from the various elements on the card including: set number, HP, height or weight.

There are four Pokemon Match Battle cards included in each card pack which can be used in the Pokemon trading card game. There are 15 McDonald's Pokemon cards 2022 to collect including six holographic cards: Rowlet, Gossifleur, Growlithe, Victini, Pikachu, and Smeargle.

There is an exclusive McDonald's Happy Meal box that goes with the McDonalds Pokemon cards 2022 promotion. It features everyone's favorite Pokemon Pikachu and guess what color it is? You guesssed it - yellow of course. What's cute about this Pokemon happy meal box is that it has pop out Pikachu ears.

Pokemon Happy Meal 2022 (USA)

The McDonalds Pokemon happy meal 2022 promotion runs for 5 weeks from August 16 to September 26, 2022 in the US. The cards are delivered in numbered boxes each featuring a different character: Pikachu, Victini, Smeargle, Rowlet, Gossifleur and Growlithe.

Along with the cards are the spinner, coin and instruction sheet. There are 10 themed boxes to collect (as pictured above) including:

McDonalds Pokemon 2022 Coloring and Activity Sheets (US)

During the promotion two activities pages are available to download. One page is a connect the dots activity and a picture of Pikachu that can be colored. The other page is a maze activity also featuring Pikachu.

Pokemon Happy Meal 2022 (UK and Ireland)

The Pokemon Happy Meal 2022 in the UK and Ireland follows on from the Paddington happy meal 2022. It will be followed by the Smurfs Happy Meal 2022.

There are 12 Pokemon card sleeves vs 10 packs in the US set to collect. The UK edition of the sleeves are unnumbered and denoted by color. Each contains the McDonald's Pokemon 2022 cards and toys:

Quite apart from the booster packs there are two exclusive happy meal books (happy meal readers) called Pokemon Essential Handbooks available as an alternative to the cards pack. The handbooks are published by Scholastic in association with McDonalds. Each covers unique Pokemon moves and information for those would-be Pokemon trainers.

McDonalds Pokemon Coloring and Activity Sheets UK

On the McDonald's website UK you can find some Pokemon-themed activities to keep kids entertained. Activities include: a dot-to-dot, a maze puzzle and a find the poke balls puzzle. There is also a coloring page (as seen below) featuring Pikachu and friends to color that can be downloaded for free.

Pokemon Happy Meal 2022 (International)

The Pokemon happy meal 2022 will be available in only some countries around the world other than the US and Great Britain. Other selected regions are: Australia and NZ, Canada, Europe, Latin America.

The McDonald's Pokemon Cards 2022 are available at McDonalds while stocks last. Get in quick as these are highly likely to run out given their popularity. McDonalds UK, Ireland, Austria and Germany are ahead of the rest of world in releasing the Pokemon cards first but there are a number of countries around the world including Canada slated to get these very soon.
