The promotion of Harper Collins McDonald's Happy Readers runs for three weeks between February 21, 2023 and March 13, 2023. A mixed selection of five children's books are available giving happy meal customers the option to select a book from the range.

The 2023 Harper Collins happy meal books were released in clear plastic numbered bags. The slogans for the promotion were "Story time starts here" and "feed your imagination at McDonalds."
