McDonalds happy meals toys: Astro Boy toys intended for boys and My Little Pony toys for girls have hit McDonalds restaurants throughout USA beginning October, 23 2009 and will be available in happy meals until November 12, 2009. This is another highly collectible toy promotion from McDonalds that will have you eating happy meals like they are going out of style just to get the Astro Boy and My Little Pony toys.
McDonalds My Little Pony toys 2009
If you collect McDonalds My Little Pony toys you are in for a treat with these cute collectible MLP ponies. There are 6 gorgeous miniature ponies in this new 2009 set of My Little Pony McDonalds toys. Each My Little Pony happy meal toy in the collection comes with its own plastic comb accessory - a different color for each pony and embossed with its name.The McDonalds My Little Pony set for 2009 (Generation 3.5 ponies) includes the following MLP happy meal toys:
- Rainbow Dash - green body, pink hair, green tail, pink comb
- Pinkie Pie - pink body pink hair, pink tail, blue comb
- Sweetie Belle - white body, pink hair, purple tail, purple comb
- Cheerilee - pink body, pink hair, dark pink tail, green comb
- Starsong - purple body, pink hair, pink tail, pink comb
- Scootaloo - orange body, pink hair, purple tail, purple comb
McDonalds Astro Boy 2009
Some toy collectors and manga fans have been waiting a long time I know for McDonalds to release Astro Boy happy meal toys. (The last McDonalds Astro Boy set was released in 2004 and included: Astro Magnetic Action, Astro in Orbit, Fire Away, and Circuit Astro).This new set of McDonalds Astro Boy toys which includes 3 unique Astro Boy figures and 2 Astro Boy action figures Zog and Trashcan does not disappoint. And with the super villian Peacekeeper figure making up the set hours of imaginative play can be had by all, big and small.
The character-themed toys are based on Astro Boy, a young robot hero from the popular Japanese Anime series and are part of a McDonalds movie tie-in deal. The Astro Boy movie, a 3D computer-animated film, opened throughout North America on 23 October 2009 and coincides with the release of the McDonalds happy meal toys.
The McDonalds Astro Boy set for 2009 includes the following happy meal toys:
- Astro Boy Launcher - push button to launch blue core missile from arm cannon
- Trashcan - push down to launch disc from his mouth
- Astro Boy Puncher - push button for arm punching action
- Peacekeeper - push button on his back to launch red core missile
- Astro Boy Flying - pull back action to see him fly forward
- Zog - apply stickers front and back which are housed in his back compartment
Following on from the McDonalds Bakugan and Build-A-Bear Workshop toy promotion which concluded on October 22, McDonalds have released 6 Astro Boy happy meal toys and 6 My Little Pony happy meal toys. If you would like to have Astro Boy or My Little Pony toys in your collection but missed this promotion you can still pick up toys new in the packet or loose on EBay and Etsy.
