Latest McDonalds Nerf Toys in Happy Meals in 2023

The latest McDonalds happy meal toys, Nerf have just landed at McDonald's in the US replacing the Marvels promotion. For the rest of August and the first half of September 2023 you will find one of 8 Nerf games in your happy meal.

The latest McDonald toy promotion includes eight skill based games from Nerf. The McDonalds happy meal toys challenges include: Disk Blaster, Hoop, Bounce and Score, Loop and Launch, Sink the Disk, Flying Disk, Launch Ramp Challenge, Launch and Catch.

Like them or hate them the Nerf toys offer a bit of a change from happy meal toys we have come to expect from McDonald's in the last few years. Possibly in response to criticisms about McDonald's toys not doing anything it is nice to see toys being issued that can actually be played with.

Each toy in the Nerf set requires some minimal construction which involves putting together a few plastic components and folding cardboard targets.

Some toys in the set come with disks that are inserted into plastic handheld launchers and then shot at targets. Others involve tossing or shooting the ball supplied in the packet into cardboard goals.

Depending on the game played the winner is the one who gets to 100 points first or who wins after five games. An instruction card with game rules is included in the toy packet.

The promotion of McDonalds Little Mermaid toys began a few days ago in the USA. During May and June 2023 one of eight plastic Little Mermaid happy meal toys based on the new Disney The Little Mermaid movie will come in your happy meal. The film due in theaters on May 26 follows Ariel (Halle Bailey) who trades her voice with Ursula, the sea witch, for the chance to come ashore.

The promotion of McDonald's Little Mermaid toys began on May 24, 2023. There are eight figures to collect in the set that features all the best-loved characters from The Little Mermaid movie including Ariel, Prince Eric and Sebastian. The toys have a blue wave theme making them fun to play with and display.

The full set of 8 Little Mermaid happy meal toys 2023 includes:

1. Sebastian
   Push and go toy. Sebastian bobs up and down when pushed along.


2. Ariel
   Slide Ariel toy along to make her spin around on the wave.

The McDonald's Little Mermaid toys come in clear plastic bags that are numbered. Apple slices packs in happy meals have a picture of Ariel on the front. The Little Mermaid happy meal box is sea blue and features Ariel on the front. On the side panel is a picture of how to access interactive Little Mermaid content by scanning the toy on a phone or tablet.

McDonald's is offering a two themed Little Mermaid activity sheets: one is a coloring page of Ariel and the other is a connect-the-dots Flounder. Both these Disney Little Mermaid sheets are free to download in convenient PDF format.

The McDonalds Little Mermaid toys 2023 are being promoted outside the US too. The Little Mermaid (La Sirenita in Spanish) is to be promoted in #cajitafeliz in Mexico and the rest of Latin America. The same toys will be promoted with a few translation differences to names in Spanish like Rey Triton (King Triton) and Principe Eric (Prince Eric).

In Brazil all 8 of the Little Mermaid McDonalds toys (brinquedos de A Pequena Sereia da Disney) will be available in happy meals (#mclanchefeliz) around the same time. Characters are known as Ariel, Úrsula, Sabidão (Scuttle), Linguado (Flounder), Rei Tritão (King Triton), Sebastião (Sebastian), Max.

Each figure in the collection stands on a rocking base and can be connected to other toys in the set via a hook. All of the toys have a button or lever on the back of the figurine that activates some kind of arm or body action.

The McDonalds Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 2023 Happy Meal Toys set includes:

1. Star-Lord - Blue uniform, beard. Arms move up and down when button on the back of the head is pushed.


2. Nebula - Blue uniform, blue head. Arms move back and forth on slide of lever on the back of the head.


3. Adam Warlock - Red and gold uniform. Right arm can be rotated 360 when lever on back pressed.


4. Mantis - Wears a blue uniform. Hairless alien. Both arms move up and down when lever on back is activated.

Masked Singer happy meal toys 2023 came on promotion at McDonalds restaurants in the US on April 4, 2023 and will continue until April 24. The limited time set of 12 Masked Singer plush toys were released as a tie-in with the incredibly popular Fox TV game show The Masked Singer.

Karmas World at McDonalds is a set of 6 activity booklets based on characters from the Netflix Karma's World TV series beginning March 2023. The Karma's World activity sets include an activity book with stickers and a colored pencil accessories. Inside each kit are punch-outs to build items such as a camera, a basketball and a trophy.

Activities in each booklet vary but include dot-to-dot, coloring pages, mazes, spot the difference, matching games. Depending on the pack stickers are used to decorate an item belonging to a character such as Switch's guitar case, Crash's jacket, and Winston's stage.

The themed happy meal box for the Karma's World happy meal toys promotion is predominantly red. It shows a picture of Karma and suggests using the happymeal.com app to create your own music.

There is also a picture of Karma, Switch and Winston together. On the reverse of the box are instructions on how to scan the QR code to access the Karma Music Experience.

During January and February 2023 you can snag one of six different McDonalds Mickey and Friends toys 2023 at participating McDonald's restaurants in the US. Each toy contains either themed cards or a giant size poster featuring a Walt Disney Mickey and Friends character.

To my knowledge Mickey and Friends McDonalds toys were pretty much restricted to the USA although there may have been some distribution of this set in the Caribbean around the same time.

McDonalds have done a number of collaborations with Disney recently to bring Disneyland characters to life for the next generation to enjoy. For instance we had Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway toys in May and June 2022 and in 2021 50 Disney themed happy meal toys for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary were released.

In terms of timeline Mickey and Friends McDonalds toys follows on from the Super Mario Bros Movie toys promotion in December 2022 and January 2023.
