Burger King Toys 2023

The release of Burger King toys in 2023 has been a bit sporadic. Distribution frequency has slowed down since the heyday when promotions changed regularly. Nonetheless there are still a bunch of cool BK toys promotions in 2023 to keep collectors interested.

If you are not a fan of paper-based toys you will be pleased to know that for the most part Burger King is continuing with plastic toys. However, it has stated that it intends to move to sustainable toys long-term so plastic toys will be phased out. This year there has only been one promotion for paper toys which is the Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse set otherwise all toys to date in 2023 are plastic.

Burger King Emoji Soccer

(January 16 - February 26)

Burger King released the Emoji Soccer toys in the US on January 16, 2023. There are 15 plush toys to collect in the complete set. Each toy features a different country participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and is denoted by the flag of that country.

These toys were available in other countries in 2022 and of course Argentina that eventually won the event. (For the Argentinian toy look for the blue and white striped one wearing sunglasses).

Also available are 5 plastic emoji toys including:

1. Yellow smiley face spinning bobblehead on a green stand.
2. Yellow and green smiley face puck container with soccer ball eyes. Comes with a plastic soccer themed figure inside and sticker set with interchangeable emoji faces.
3. Green and yellow smiley soccer ball spinning top with hearts for eyes. Flip it to spin on the point.
4. Green and yellow smiley soccer ball spinning top with hearts for eyes. Flip it to spin on the point.
5. Yellow King Burger King with beard and crown spinning top.
6. Yellow and green ticker tape sticker set featuring the emoji soccer flags.

Sonic the Hedgehog

(March 6 - April 15)
A promotion of the full set of Burger King Sonic toys 2023 began in the US on March 6. This is a collection of 6 Sonic-themed fidget toys. The cards were issued in packs of four along with sticker sheets, a deck box and photo frames.

• Sonic Emerald Game
  A mini skee ball type game with the object to get the green Chaos gem into the Knuckles or Sonic basket. Fight out with a buddy to see who can score first.
• Dr. Eggman (aka Dr Robotnik) Fidget Spinner
  Yellow fidget spinner with three lobes. Removable clip. Hold by clip and spin.
• Sonic Pop it Ring
  Three pop-its to make a popping sound when pushed in. Hold by yellow ring clasp which allows the toy to be attached to a belt or backpack.
• Tails Spinner Game
  Tails themed ring game similar to orbit ring toy. The object of the game is to get the barrel inside to spin around (loop the loop) by shaking and manoeuvring.
• Shadow the Hedgehog Spinner Orange red toy decorated with four pictures of Shadow. See how fast you can spin this circular toy to create an optical illusion of Shadow.
• Amy Rose Lenticular Maze
  Angle the toy to see Amy Rose change from head shot to full body. Yellow five-sided maze toy with tiny ball bearing to manoeuvre.

Spider-man: Across the Spiderverse

This cool promotion of Burger King toys released on May 12 features a variety of scenes from the Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse movie. The complete set includes six paper-based toys that involve some light construction of a building and characters as seen in the movie.

Warner Bros 100th Anniversary

(June 22 - August 13)

A set of 8 plastic Looney Tunes characters dressed as DC Superheroes from the DC Universe were available in the US and some other countries during June, July and August of 2023. The promotion marked the anniversary of 100 years of Warner Bros. Included in the set are the following Warner Brothers characters:

• Daffy Duck as Batman
  Spreadable Batman wings.
• Lola Bunny as Wonder Woman
  Lasso turns around when cranked.
• Tweety as Harley Quinn
  Eyes open and close when toy is held at different angles.
• Bugs Bunny as Super Man
  Push the bottom of the blue stand to have Bugs raise both his arms together.
• Road Runner as The Flash
  Roll along toy.
• Porky Pig as Robin
  Removeable outfit from the front of toy.
• Sylvester as The Joker
  Sylester makes a squeaking sound when shaken.
• Tasmanian Devil as Cyborg
  Spinning top.

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie

(September - October)

A set of 6 Burger King toys featuring Paw Patrol characters inspired by Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. The plastic dog figures in this set have different gimmicks. Two of the toys have a light up feature.
