Raya and the Last Dragon McDonalds Toys (2021 Happy Meal)

Raya and the Last Dragon McDonalds toys came on promotion in happy meals this week at participating McDonald's restaurants across the US. You will get one of eight cool Disney Raya happy meal toys inspired by the Raya and the Last Dragon movie that will be released in cinemas on March 5, 2021 and is distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.

It's been few months since we have had McDonalds Disney toys so I am really pleased to see these Raya and the Last Dragon McDonalds Toys being offered. All eight are plastic action figures that have a shiny rather than matt finish. The gimmick on these new Raya McDonalds toys varies with each toy but reflects something iconic from the movie.

The tagline for the promotion is "Bring Out Your Inner Warrior."

1. Raya
   Action Figure. Holds a green weapon (whip sword). Turns at the waist.


2. Sisu (Dragon)
   Four detachable pieces form a long tail which can be moved side-to-side with wrist action. Arms move up and down. Head can be pulled back.


3. Sisu Human
   A spinning top. Brown base.


4. Tuk Tuk
   Pug amaradillo with an orange and green saddle. Can be curled into a ball.


5. Ongi
   Three monkeys can be spun around using the crank handle.


6. Boun
   Action figure. No articulation. Place in wheel accessory and roll on a flat surface. Can be spun around for fast action.


7. Namaari
   Action figure. Wields swords in both hands. Articulated at the waist.


8. Tong (and Noi)
   Tong holds a staff axe weapon. Push lever on Tong's back to activate arm chopping action.

Raya and the Last Dragon Happy Meal Box and Packaging

The Raya and the Last Dragon happy meal box features an action shot of Raya and other characters from the movie on the front. Magical monkeys can be punched out from one side panel to play the stacking game that forms a monkey chain. "Can you stack the Ongi's without toppling them over?" is asked on the box. On the other side panel the Snack Scrambler game has words like milk and water to unscramble.

Happy Meal Raya and the Last Dragon toys come mint in pack in numbered plastic bags that are clear and are highlighted in blue.

McDonalds have two themed Raya and the Last Dragon activity sheets available for free download. The first is a coloring page of Raya in an action pose with other characters from the movie around her. The second page is a spot the differences activity sheet.

McDonalds Raya Toys International Promotion

McDonalds Raya Toys were also promoted in Mexico and Latin America in cajita feliz where the movie is known in Spanish as Raya y el Último Dragón. While in Brazil the movie is called Raya e o Último Dragão and happy meals are mclanche feliz.

Raya and the Last Dragon McDonalds toys come directly after the Pokemon 25th Anniversary promotion and will be followed by Star Wars and Disney Princess happy meal toys. If you are not able to get along to McDonalds to pick up these toys consider buying them online. Full sets, mint in bag, are plentiful at the moment and can be bought at reasonable prices.

McDonalds Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway set was available in the happy meal toy promotion in the US during November and December 2020. What better way to showcase Walt Disney World attractions than to have a Disney happy meal toy promotion featuring iconic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto enjoying the rides.

How Many Toys Does the McDonalds Runaway Railway Have?

There are 10 plastic McDonalds Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway happy meal toys in the full US set. All these vehicle toys can be joined together to form a train via a special tow bar on the back of each toy making them great for display. The line-up includes: one each of Pluto, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck plus one of Mickey and Minnie together and then two Goofy, two Minnie Mouse and two Mickey Mouse toys.

McDonalds had a special Walt Disney World Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway Happy Meal Box for the promotion featuring Mickey and Minnie riding the Runaway Railway Attraction at WDW. On one side of the box is a Zany Railway game and on the other a parade of the happy meal toys included in this collection.

The McDonalds Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway promotion was slated to run from November 17 – December 14, 2020. However, due a problem with QR codes on the game pieces that came with the toys distribution was halted. Generic toys were substituted for the remainder of the promotion.

The full set of 10 toys included in the 2020 Walt Disney World McDonalds Runaway Railway toys set are:

McDonalds Runaway Railway Toys set was only promoted in the first couple of weeks in 2020 before the promotion was pulled. Minnie at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and Mickey Mouse at Hollywood Tower Hotel are the happy meal toys that were not released in the 2022 McDonalds Disney toys promotion and are, therefore, not so common. If you want to have the full set of 10 McDonalds Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway toys you will need to buy these two toys on sites like eBay or Etsy.
